Mrs. Jennie Wittbecker

Mrs. Jennie Wittbecker, 94, of route 1, Scottville, died Tuesday evening at her home following a short illness.
Jennie Beck was born April 22, 1879, in Elkport, Iowa. She was married June 28, 1907, in Iowa to Robert S. Wittbecker who preceded her in death July 18, 1960. The couple moved to Chicago in 1925 and to Mason County in 1935 where they had resided in the Scottville area ever since.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Scottville, the Gold Star Mothers, the Farm Bureau and the Scottville Study Club, and the Scottville Senior Citizens.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John (Ruth) VanDerMolen of Scottville; one granddaughter and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert in 1938 and John, who was serving with the U.S. Army during World War II; and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Stephens Chapel with the Rev. William Schoettle officiating.
Interment will be in Riverside Cemetary in Custer
