AMBER FARMER SUDDENLY STRICKEN
Charles Dostal Suffers Fatal Stroke of Paralysis While at Work in Field on His Farm
Charles Dostal died at his farm home in Amber at 8 o'clock last evening, of paralysis. Mr. Dostal, who was 64, nearly 65 years of age, had never known illness until last Wednesday when, as he was at work in his corn field, he was stricken without warning. He was tenderly carried to the house and everything possible done to restore him but the paralysis was of the left side and he suffered intensely until death came to his relief.
Mr. Dostal had lived twelve years in Amber and previous to that was for eighteen years a resident of Pere Marquette township. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, four sons and one daughter. The children are Otto of Detroit, Emil of Manistique, Will, Freddie and Helen who are at home.
Otto Dostal arrived Saturday noon. His father recognized him but was unable to speak after his arrival. Emil cannot reach here before tonight or tomorrow noon.
Mr. Dostal was connected with the St. John's Lutheran church of this city and funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Losaner of that church at 12 o'clock Wednesday from the residence and at 2 o'clock from the church in Ludington and followed by interment in the city cemetery.
