August J. Laude Passes at Home

The passing of August John Laude of 307 North Robert street, resident of Mason county since his childhood, is mourned today by the family's many friends. Mr. Laude died early Monday evening at his home at the end of an illness of several years' duration which had become critical three weeks ago.

Mr. Laude was born on June 30, 1863, in Janesville, Wis., and came to Mason county with his family when he was a small child. A true pioneer of the county, Mr. Laude had lived in the locality for 77 years. He ws affiliated with St. John's Lutheran church.

Preceded in death on Nov. 12, 1914 by his wife, Louise, he is survived by their daughter, Mrs. Lucy Abrahamson of Kalamazoo; their son, William Laude of Riverton, and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon from Dorrell chapel, where the body will rest. Rev. William Opitz will officiate. Interment will be made in Center Riverton cemetery.
