If you have any information, family files, pictures or any other ephemera you wish to share with other researchers that I can copy and return to you please contact me, Dave Petersen in the following ways;

By regular mail to 1960 W Conrad Rd Ludington Mi 49431, by email to davep@blackcreekpress.com or by phone to 231-757-3240.

If you live in the Ludington area feel free to call to make arrangements to have your material copied and returned to you.

I collect old photographs, postcards, and ephemera of all types that relate to the Mason County and Western Michigan Area.I buy collections of postcards, and old photogrpahs of all types, I save old 8mm film and am especially looking for carferry footage from the 30's to 80's and also film of local parades and activities.

Whatever you do please do not throw away old film, slides, pictures or other ephemera I have the means to digitize them. I save old advertising from local stores and that includes old receipts, paper bags, etc. if it is from a local business I want to find it.

If you have things like that you wish to donate please feel free to mail it directly, or call and I will pick it up. If you have other items that you wish to sell there are things I am willing to pay for in order to get copes to put on the website.

If you are planning on donating old photos, paper items postcards etc. to White Pine Village, please consider letting me make a copy of it first. White Pine Village charges an exhorbitant fee for copies, and utilization of the research room. They have not allowed "their" property to be digitized and used on the web. When I asked about using three pictures in a family history book they quoted me a price of 135.00 for the 3 copies and permission to use them in print.

IF you want your items to be seen, enjoyed and used by others I can do that for you as I want to put as much of our local history online as I can.

VOLUNTEERS; I can always use help in transcribing material to put on the website. Even if you can only do one document it is a great help. I have a number of things that need transcription, email me and let me know what you would like to do and I will send you some files.
